Ivan's financial career started with London Life back in 2004 as a financial security advisor, where he was able to build up to 200 clients and 8 groups within three years.

Over the last 17 years, Ivan has had a wealth of experience serving in different roles and institutions.

Early into his career, Ivan partnered with his uncle, a financial industry veteran for over 30 years, to learn and build a practice with him. After his uncle moved to Asia after a few years, Ivan wanted to learn more about the investment side and took on a position for for Vancity Credit Union as a in house investment specialist. Ivan spent the next few years working in the Dunbar branch working with high net worth clients. 

Ivan then went back to Freedom 55 as a para-planner/associate planner for some of the top advisors and was able to work with more clients in the business market. 

An opportunity then came up for him to become a director/sales manager at Sun Life Financial where became a director of hiring and training for new advisors. 

After coming back to Freedom 55 in 2017 as an advisor, he partnered with Enoch to specialize in financial planning for Christians. Soon after they left to build up Rise Above Finance together.

Ivan currently holds 10 different financial designations, and is already planning to obtain his next one.

Outside of the office, Ivan spends his time with his wife and son. Recently he's been intrigued by how his son has been building up an online shop in the Roblox game at the ripe age of 7.
